Cluster-Kopfschmerz bei Kindern und Heranwachsenden

In Analogie zu Erwachsenen wird für Kinder und für Heranwachsende mit Cluster-Kopfschmerz eine Akuttherapie mit Sauerstoffinhalation (mindestens 7 l/min reiner Sauerstoff über 15 Minuten in aufrechter Position) oder mit Sumatriptan subkutan (0,06 mg/kg Körpergewicht, maximal 6 mg am Tag) empfohlen. Zur Prophylaxe von Cluster-Kopfschmerz im Kindesalter werden Verapamil oral (2 bis 5 mg/kg Körpergewicht pro Tag) oder ein Cortisonstoß (Prednison oder Prednisolon über drei Tage mit 2 mg/kg Körpergewicht, dann ausschleichend über zehn Tage) empfohlen.[1]

Sumatriptan (Imigran® Nasal mite 10 mg) und Zolmitriptan (AscoTop®) Nasalspray sind zur Akutbehandlung bei Heranwachsenden ab 12 Jahren zugelassen.[2][3]
